We’re seeking a Materials Flow Manager to join our Det-Tronics team in MN.

This position manages a team of intermediate to experienced professionals in Materials & Logistics, manages departmental budgets, consults on business issues, drives cost reduction activities, ensures quality control, and leads material and inventory audits.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead and manage the materials team, provide guidance to implement lean logistics.
  • Responsible for materials wall to wall process (Receiving, put away, picking, delivery at point of use, packing, shipping, and traffic, while keeping inventory control).
  • Lead, organize and execute Physical Inventory.
  • Define, measure, control and improve materials Key Process Indicators.
  • This role manage wall to wall materials operations.
  • Total team size of 30+ individuals.
  • Prepares and manages departmental budgets to ensure cost effectiveness.
  • Drives cost reduction and improvement activities to ensure that materials management and logistics deployment are efficient and cost effective.
  • Sets guidelines to ensure quality and inventory controls are in place to meet quality standards and schedules.
  • Consults on business issues of moderate complexity to support the achievement of operational results.
  • Leads materials and inventory audits to ensure availability of materials.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years of managing warehouse operations or material management; Associates Degree with 7+ years of managing warehouse operations or material management; or a High School Diploma or GED with 10+ years of managing warehouse operations or material management.
  • 3+ years of experience with lean logistics
  • 2+ years of ERP experience/knowledge.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience with JDE
  • Practical knowledge in leading and managing the execution of processes, projects and tactics.
  • Knowledge and skills within a specific technical or professional discipline with understanding of the impact of work on other areas of the organization
