Job summary

Mercedes Benz Vans LLC in Charleston, SC is seeking a Material Flow Planner to develop and execute logistics plans, optimize material flow, and support production ramp-up. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, manufacturing, engineering, or equivalent automotive experience.
• Basic experience in automotive or large-scale manufacturing.
• Knowledge of material flow optimization, PFEP, and logistics planning.
• Proficiency in Excel and Power BI; strong problem-solving and communication.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate cross-functional requirements to support series production.
• Reduce waste and costs while maintaining safety, quality, delivery.
• Optimize warehouse layouts and material flow concepts.
• Conduct time studies to determine headcount for routes and receiving.
• Develop feasibility studies and benefit analyses for logistics equipment.
• Support supplier screening, RFQs, and ramp-up.
• Prepare management presentations and facilitate workshops.
• Other duties as assigned.
