Job summary

Builders FirstSource is seeking a Material Handler to oversee the flow of materials and products on site under limited supervision. You will help optimize movement, lift and stack items, and support production goals.

The role requires handling equipment operation (motorized and non-motorized) and training teammates in safety guidelines and proper techniques. A HS diploma/GED with four years related experience is expected.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required with 4+ years in material handling.
• Experience operating material handling equipment and driving safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Physically handles materials used to construct components and finished products to ensure movement of items is optimized.
• Records movement of incoming and outgoing materials and verifies accuracy of work performed by self and others.
• Operates motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment.
• Plans and assigns work tasks to Material Handlers to meet production goals.
• Trains employees in required tasks, including handling techniques, machinery use, and safety guidelines.
