Job summary

Exline is seeking an Internal Material Handler to coordinate and transport material, WIP, tooling, and travelers across the manufacturing facility. You will ensure proper staging, prioritize work, and move jobs efficiently to support on-time delivery and optimal equipment utilization.

The role requires reading production travelers and schedules, strong organization, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. You will work closely with planning, machining, repair, quality, and shipping teams to

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in manufacturing, machine shop, warehouse, or industrial setting preferred.
• Able to read job travelers, work orders, and production schedules.
• Basic computer skills for production tracking.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform routine physical work.
• Certified to operate material handling equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transport materials and WIP across facility and between campus buildings.
• Monitor status and move jobs to next operation to prevent production delays.
• Stage priority jobs at designated machines per production schedules.
• Coordinate with production supervisors, planners, machinists, and quality personnel to maintain efficient workflow.
• Identify bottlenecks, material shortages, missing paperwork, or delays impacting production.
• Maintain organization of WIP storage areas, machine staging areas, and material flow routes.
• Verify travelers, routing documentation, and job identification accompany work throughout the process.
• Ensure completed operations are delivered to inspection, subsequent machining, assembly, or shipping.
• Assist with receiving, stocking, packaging, and shipping as workload demands.
• Maintain safe material handling practices and compliance with safety procedures.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts focused on shop flow and throughput.
