C.H. Guenther is seeking a Materials Coordinator to maintain precise inventory records, conduct daily cycle counts, and ensure accurate data entry across the warehouse.

The role requires strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. You will monitor stock levels, support audits, and help ensure safety and compliance with company procedures while collaborating with team members and management.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular cycle counts.
• Reconcile discrepancies and report findings to management.
• Update system records promptly and accurately.

• Enter data and generate inventory reports as required.
• Inspect items for accuracy and quality; ensure proper labeling and storage.

• Operate a forklift to move product and transfer finished goods.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including overtime as needed.

Job description

The Material Coordinator is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting regular inventory counts, and ensuring that all inventory processes and procedures are followed. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, organization, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Inventory Management:
• Conduct regular and accurate physical inventory counts (daily cycle counts).
• Reconcile inventory discrepancies and report findings to management.
• Update inventory records in the system accurately and promptly.
• Monitor and report inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels.
• Data Entry and Reporting:
• Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, including receipts, shipments, and adjustments.
• Generate and distribute inventory reports as required.
• Quality Control:
• Inspect incoming and outgoing inventory for accuracy and quality.
• Ensure proper labeling and storage of inventory items.
• Identify and report any damaged or expired inventory.
• Compliance and Procedures:
• Follow all company policies and procedures related to inventory control.
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in audits and provide necessary documentation and support.
• Collaboration:
• Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding inventory status and issues.
• Product Movement:
• Utilize a forklift to move product to and from locations.
• Transfer finished product to designated location in facility/warehouse.
• Flexibility to work overtime and non-standard hours as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Minimum Job Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• One year of related experience preferred.
• Previous experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or a similar role, preferred.
• Familiarity with inventory management software and systems.

• Work involves daily and frequent exposure to unusual elements, such as dirt, dust, fumes, odors, darkness and/or poor lighting, noise, and vibration. Seasonal exposure to weather elements to include, but not limited to, extreme temperatures, wetness, and humidity.
• Work environment involves daily exposure to physical risks and hazards, such as working around mechanical equipment, mechanical hazards, forklifts, chemical hazards, electrical hazards, fire and explosives hazards, communicable diseases.
• Position requires the ability to stand; walking around office, warehouse, and plant; lifting and carrying packages up to 50 pounds; utilizing fine dexterity; and reaching, kneeling, crawling, and twisting on a daily basis.
