Job summary

Addison is seeking a Material Coordinator Level I to ensure the timely delivery of sheet metal parts to production lines and subassemblies throughout fabrication and assembly areas. You will protect parts, follow safety guidelines, and keep work areas organized and fully stocked to sustain smooth operations.

The role requires collaboration with production, quality, and safety teams to maintain correct material flow and to support a fast-paced shop environment while adhering to safety protocols

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 0-1 year of experience in material handling or manufacturing.
  • Basic working knowledge of computer systems, including Office 365 and Fourth Shift.
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; bilingual skills in Spanish are a plus.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs following all safety procedures and company guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Transport sheet metal parts to downstream operations across multiple stations.
  • Coordinate movement of materials to the Kitting Area to maintain production velocity.
  • Wrap carts to protect components during transport and prevent damage.
  • Monitor supply of empty equipment to keep carts available at production lines.
  • Dispose of scrap and non-conforming sheet metal per policy and guidelines.
  • Uphold 5S standards to maintain a clean, safe workspace.
  • Collaborate with production, quality, and safety to ensure proper material flow.
