Eaton is seeking a Material Controller for the Jackson, MS facility on the 2nd shift (3:30pm - 12am, Mon-Fri). Eaton’s IS AER FMCdivision is currently seeking aMaterial Controller - 2nd Shift (Stockroom) at our facility in Jackson, MS! This role aligns to a 2nd Shift schedule from 3:30pm - 12am Monday - Friday.

The hourly rate for this position is$20.41 plus $1 shift differentialper hour.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and package parts as needed to prepare for stocking.
• Ensure all shipments meet sales order requirements to ensure proper amounts, identification and correct materials are present.
• Fork lift operation required.
• Perform computer transactions to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Full participation in physical inventory activity.
• Cycle count performance and basic reconciliation per current work instructions.
• Meet and maintain established standard production pull rate.
• Comply with all environmental, health, and safety policies and work rules.
• Maintain clean and orderly work area to required standard.
• Perform/operate all stockroom functions and equipment effectively and accurately per current work instructions.
• Consistent involvement in team/work place improvement processes and procedures.
• Create and maintain a customer centric environment through accuracy of work and on-going improvement based on results and feedback.
• Load, unload, and move parts through facility on frequent basis. Some occasional heavy lifting (60 lbs.) may be required.
• Perform other duties required within the job classification.
• Notify supervisor when work received does not meet the specifications observable in the normal course of performing duties such as quantity and work order packages.
• Perform operator defined 5S/TPM (Total Preventive Maintenance) tasks as required.

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution required
• Minimum of 2 years prior work experience required
• This position requires access to export-controlled information. To conform to U.S. Government export regulations applicable to that information, applicant must be a U.S. person, defined as a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (green card holder), (iii) refugee under 8 U.S.C. 1157, or (iv) asylee under 8 U.S.C. 1158.
• No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within 50 miles of Jackson, MS will be considered. Acitve Duty military are exempt from this requirement

Preferred:

• Fork-lift driver experience
• Mechanical parts knowledge including the ability to recognize part material and family.
• Prior work experience in a manufacturing, warehouse/distribution, and/or military environment performing stockroom responsibilities.
• Understanding or knowledge of inventory control and/or MRP systems
