Job description

Founded in 1988, Marketech International Corp. (MIC) is a global technology and engineering company supporting semiconductor, high-tech manufacturing, cleanroom, and mission-critical facility projects. MIC provides turnkey facility integration solutions, including cleanroom and MEP construction, DI water, gas and chemical supply systems, wastewater treatment, facility monitoring and control systems, installation, and maintenance services. Through Marketech International Corporation USA, we support major semiconductor and industrial projects across the United States.

Job Overview

Marketech International Corporation USA is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Material Controller to support receiving, inspection, inventory tracking, storage, preservation, and distribution of materials for semiconductor construction projects.

This role is responsible for helping ensure the right materials are received accurately, stored safely, tracked correctly, and delivered to the appropriate work area at the right time. The Material Controller will support material readiness for mechanical, electrical, cleanroom, utility, and field-installation scopes by coordinating with procurement, suppliers, logistics providers, warehouse teams, subcontractors, QA/QC, EHS, and project leadership.

The ideal candidate has experience in material control, warehouse operations, inventory management, logistics, or construction-material coordination. Experience supporting semiconductor, cleanroom, EPC, industrial, high-tech manufacturing, or construction projects is highly preferred. This role requires strong organization, documentation discipline, inventory accuracy, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced onsite construction environment.

Key Responsibilities
Receiving, Inspection & Material Verification
  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders, packing slips, Bills of Materials, specifications, delivery records, and project quality requirements.
  • Confirm quantities, part numbers, material condition, labeling, certifications, traceability information, and storage requirements upon receipt.
  • Identify damaged, missing, incorrect, expired, contaminated, or nonconforming materials and coordinate appropriate follow-up with procurement, suppliers, QA/QC, and project teams.
  • Maintain accurate receiving records, delivery logs, inspection records, packing slips, material certifications, and related documentation.
  • Support verification of materials required for mechanical, electrical, cleanroom, utility, and field-installation scopes.
  • Help ensure sensitive materials are handled, documented, and stored in accordance with semiconductor project requirements.
Inventory Control & Material Tracking
  • Track inventory, material locations, stock levels, shortages, allocations, and material movement using ERP systems, Excel, project tracking tools, and client‑specific software.
  • Maintain accurate inventory logs, location records, allocation plans, stock reports, and material‑status trackers.
  • Conduct cycle counts, physical inventory checks, reconciliations, and material audits as required.
  • Monitor material consumption, shortages, excess inventory, delivery risks, and long‑lead items that could affect project schedules.
  • Support material forecasting and readiness planning based on upcoming construction activities, work packages, look‑ahead schedules, and field requirements.
  • Escalate material shortages, delivery delays, inventory discrepancies, and readiness concerns to project leadership, procurement, logistics, and field teams.
Storage, Preservation & Field Distribution
  • Organize warehouse, laydown-yard, staging, and storage areas to support efficient material flow and field execution.
  • Ensure materials are properly labeled, protected, preserved, stored, and secured to prevent weather exposure, contamination, damage, loss, or misidentification.
  • Coordinate material distribution to construction areas, including mechanical, electrical, cleanroom, utility, and field‑installation work zones.
  • Support material staging, delivery timing, work‑area release, and movement planning with warehouse teams, subcontractors, and field crews.
  • Assist with maintaining semiconductor cleanliness, traceability, preservation, packaging, and handling requirements.
  • Coordinate with EHS and QA/QC teams to ensure material handling, storage, and distribution practices align with site safety and quality standards.
  • Support warehouse housekeeping, storage‑area organization, and 5S practices.
Supplier, Logistics & Project Coordination
  • Coordinate with procurement teams, suppliers, logistics providers, subcontractors, warehouse personnel, field teams, QA/QC, EHS, and site management to support material readiness.
  • Follow up with suppliers and logistics providers regarding shipment status, delivery timing, backorders, lead times, documentation, and material discrepancies.
  • Participate in material‑readiness meetings, project coordination meetings, logistics discussions, and look‑ahead planning sessions as needed.
  • Communicate material‑status updates, shortages, delivery risks, allocation plans, and required actions clearly to relevant stakeholders.
  • Support practical solutions to reduce material‑related delays and maintain continuity of construction activities.
  • Maintain a proactive, organized, and solution‑oriented approach while managing multiple material priorities and project deadlines.
Documentation, Reporting & Compliance
  • Maintain material documentation, including delivery records, requisitions, purchase orders, BOMs, allocation logs, inventory records, compliance documents, and material certifications.
  • Prepare daily and weekly material‑status reports, shortage reports, inventory summaries, delivery updates, and open‑issue trackers.
  • Track material‑related action items, missing documentation, nonconforming materials, pending deliveries, and required follow‑up activities through resolution.
  • Support compliance with company, client, quality, safety, cleanliness, traceability, and project‑specific material‑control requirements.
  • Help improve material‑control workflows, inventory accuracy, shortage‑tracking practices, documentation processes, and construction‑readiness reporting.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two or more years of experience in material control, inventory management, warehouse operations, logistics, procurement coordination, or construction‑material support.
  • Experience using ERP systems, inventory systems, materials‑management systems, or project tracking tools.
  • Strong Excel skills and the ability to maintain accurate inventory, receiving, delivery, and material‑status records.
  • Ability to read and understand purchase orders, packing slips, Bills of Materials, material specifications, delivery documentation, and basic construction documents.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, and follow‑up skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, material requests, deliveries, and field needs in a fast‑paced onsite environment.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with procurement, suppliers, logistics teams, warehouse personnel, subcontractors, field teams, QA/QC, EHS, and project leadership.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Ability to work onsite in warehouse, laydown-yard, construction, industrial, cleanroom, or project‑based environments.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting semiconductor construction, cleanroom construction, industrial projects, EPC projects, high‑tech manufacturing, or mission‑critical facility projects.
  • Experience using SAP or similar ERP, warehouse‑management, inventory‑control, or materials‑management systems.
  • Experience coordinating material distribution for mechanical, electrical, process utility, cleanroom, tool‑install, or construction scopes.
  • Familiarity with semiconductor material cleanliness, traceability, preservation, packaging, labeling, and quality requirements.
  • Experience handling pipe, valves, fittings, electrical materials, mechanical components, process‑system materials, or other technical construction materials.
  • Experience with warehouse operations, laydown‑yard management, field material staging, shipment coordination, and logistics tracking.
  • Forklift certification, OSHA 10, OSHA 30, CPR/AED, or other relevant site‑safety certifications.
  • Bilingual English/Mandarin Chinese communication skills are a plus, but not required.

This is a full‑time onsite role supporting semiconductor construction projects. Work may include receiving activities, warehouse coordination, inventory control, material staging, field distribution, laydown‑yard organization, logistics communication, and project‑site support.

The Material Controller must be comfortable working in warehouse, industrial, cleanroom, outdoor, semi‑controlled, and active construction environments. The role may require walking work areas, inspecting incoming deliveries, handling material documentation, coordinating with field teams, and wearing required personal protective equipment.
