Job summary

HKA Enterprises in Greer, SC seeks a Material Control Specialist I to ensure material availability for production and optimize inventory levels. You will work with suppliers, logistics providers and internal teams to keep schedules on track.

The role requires planning, SAP/MRP experience, and strong analytical skills. Long-term W-2 contract with pay range $29.43–$41.82 per hour; after onboarding, one remote day per week is allowed on a rotating basis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or 4 years of equivalent experience in Material Planning/MRP
• Experience in SAP, MS Office and data analysis for planning
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required
• Experience coordinating with suppliers, logistics providers and internal teams

Responsibilities

• Plan and monitor material requirements to support production schedules
• Maintain inventory levels while minimizing excess and shortages
• Perform material planning and maintain SAP planning parameters
• Support production activities, engineering changes and part introductions
• Analyze inventory data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
• Monitor supplier performance and update supplier ratings
• Coordinate with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments to resolve shortages
• Participate in continuous improvement projects
• Prepare reports using Microsoft Office applications
• Perform additional duties as assigned
