Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or related field (preferred).
• Four years of equivalent Material Planning/MRP experience or 4+ years.

Responsibilities

• Plan and monitor material requirements to support production schedules.
• Maintain inventory levels while minimizing excess and shortages.
• Perform material planning and maintain SAP planning parameters.
• Support production activities, engineering changes, new part introductions, and phase-out activities while minimizing obsolete inventory.
• Analyze inventory data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Monitor supplier performance and maintain supplier rating information.
• Coordinate with suppliers, carriers, logistics providers, and internal departments to resolve material shortages and delivery issues.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and cross-functional projects.
• Prepare reports and communicate planning information using MS Office applications.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Pay: $29.43 - $41.82 per hour (Based on Experience)

Schedule: Monday-Friday | A Shift / Day Shift| Occasional Rotating Saturdays

Employment Type: Long-Term Ongoing W-2 Contract

HKA Enterprises is seeking a Material Control Specialist I to support a leading manufacturing operation in Greer, SC. This position is responsible for ensuring materials are available to support production while maintaining optimal inventory levels and working closely with suppliers, logistics providers, and internal teams.

Work Schedule

• Occasional Saturday work on a rotating schedule based on business needs

Position Summary

The Material Control Specialist I is responsible for planning and managing material availability to support production requirements while optimizing inventory levels. This role works closely with suppliers, transportation providers, and cross-functional teams to ensure materials arrive on time, inventory remains accurate, and production schedules are maintained.

• Maintain appropriate inventory levels while minimizing excess inventory and shortages.
• Perform material planning activities and maintain planning parameters within SAP.
• Support production activities, engineering changes, new part introductions, and product phase-out activities while minimizing obsolete inventory.
• Analyze inventory and material planning data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Monitor supplier performance and maintain supplier rating information.
• Coordinate with suppliers, carriers, logistics providers, and internal departments to resolve material shortages and delivery issues.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and cross-functional projects.
• Prepare reports, analyze data, and communicate planning information using Microsoft Office applications.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, International Business, or a related field preferred
• OR
• Four (4) years of equivalent professional experience in Material Planning, including Material Requirements Planning (MRP)

Experience

• 1-3 years of Supply Chain Management experience
• 1-3 years of Material Control or Production Control experience
• Material Requirements Planning (MRP) experience is preferred
