BMW Manufacturing Company in Spartanburg, SC is offering a student internship in material control within the NSM/MRO team. The intern will assist with spare parts purchasing, inventory visibility, data analysis, and process improvements, using SAP/MRP concepts, Power BI dashboards, and Power Apps workflow support.

The role provides hands-on exposure to material control, supplier coordination, and sample AI-enabled tools while helping improve tracking accuracy and production readiness.

Qualifications

• Preferred BA/BS degree in logistics or a related field.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 (overall).
• Enrolled student status at an accredited U.S. college or university.
• Completed at least 30 credit hours prior to application.
• Must attach unofficial transcript.
• Must pass a substance abuse test before the work term.
• Work term: January 11th - May 14th, 2027.

Responsibilities

• Support spare parts purchasing coordination, including RFQ tracking and supplier communication.
• Assist with inventory visibility, cycle counts, and data quality checks.
• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and KPI reports.
• Support Power Apps workflow improvements and AI-enabled tools.
• Review SAP/MRP data to identify open orders and reorder needs.
• Document processes, training materials, and audit evidence.
