Job summary

Five Rivers Analytics (FRA), an Akima company, is hiring an Operating Materials and Supply (OM&S) Coordinator in Panama City, FL to support Navy OM&S functions within the NERP system. Qualifications

  • US Citizen able to undergo background checks at local and federal levels.
  • Strong knowledge of Navy OM&S processes within NERP.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Navy standard 2016.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with personnel at all levels.
  • Experience preparing reports, presentations, and documentation for management.
  • Familiarity with Navy OM&S processes, training development, and user support preferred.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and support process improvement.
  • Experience QA functions related to Procurement Requests and supporting documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Research and identify frustrated material and determine ownership and financial accounting lines.
  • Archive records per SECNAV M‑5210.1 CH‑1 using Navy records system.
  • Support Customer Acquisition by creating Material Masters and Requirement forms.

Job description

Five Rivers Analytics, an Akima company, is looking to hire a Operating Materials and Supply Coordinator to join the team in Panama City, FL. The OM&S Support Specialist provides operational, analytical, and training support for all Operating Materials & Supplies (OM&S) functions within the Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (NERP) system. This role requires a strong working knowledge of OM&S processes, proficiency in Microsoft Office (2016 Navy standard), and the ability to communicate effectively with personnel across NSWC PCD. The specialist is responsible for data extraction, reporting, training support, user assistance, and documentation management to ensure accurate and efficient execution of the Navy OM&S program.

Responsibilities
  • Extract and analyze data from NERP to produce accurate, detailed OM&S reports.
  • Prepare monthly presentations and spreadsheets to communicate OM&S status to NSWC PCD leadership and staff.
  • Monitor abnormal or trending OM&S conditions to support process analysis and improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in developing, refining, and tailoring OM&S training for NSWC PCD personnel.
  • Prepare OM&S training materials and support the delivery of training sessions.
  • Provide OM&S user support to a diverse workforce, including scientists, engineers, logisticians, accountants, supply chain personnel, warehouse staff, and DLA personnel.
  • Perform Quality Assurance checks to support Procurement Request (PR) creation and Key Supporting Documents (KSDs).
  • Research and identify frustrated material—items received with missing or incorrect documentation—and determine ownership and financial accounting lines.
  • Archive official records in accordance with SECNAV M‑5210.1 CH‑1 using the Navy’s prescribed records management system.
  • Support the Customer Acquisition Group by:
    • Creating Unique Material Masters and extensions.
    • Preparing Requirement forms based on customer-provided information.
    • Assisting customers in identifying OM&S and General Equipment using mandatory sources such as One Touch and Haystack.
Qualifications
  • Must be a US Citizen able to undergo a background check at both the local and federal level to include credit. Must be able to obtain government customer CUI prior to starting.
  • Strong working knowledge of OM&S functions within the Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (NERP) system preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Navy standard version 2016.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in both oral and written formats with personnel at all levels.
  • Experience preparing reports, presentations, and documentation for management review.
  • Familiarity with Navy OM&S processes, training development, and user support preferred.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and support process improvement efforts.
  • Experience performing Quality Assurance functions related to Procurement Requests and supporting documentation.
  • Knowledge of Navy records management requirements and SECNAV M‑5210.1 CH‑1 preferred.
  • Ability to research and resolve issues related to frustrated material and material identification.
  • Experience supporting acquisition-related tasks, including creation of Material Masters and Requirement forms.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced, multi‑disciplinary environment.
