Northrop Grumman is seeking a Material Analyst Level 2 or Level 3 to join our growing team of professionals on the IBCS Program. This individual will assist the Cost Account Management (CAM) Lead and support day-to-day activities related to budgeting, planning, and reporting on a Material budget of $70M to $100M annually for the production delivery of Major End Items.

The Material Analyst will report to the Global Supply Chain Organization and will be responsible for supporting Northrop Grumman IBCS Poland programs in compliance with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) requirements and program implementation of Production Materials and Subcontracts.

This position will be located in Huntsville, Alabama.

Responsibilities Include, But Not Limited To
  • Supporting manufacturing on programs in compliance with EVMS requirements
  • Interfacing with Cost Account Managers and providing monthly EVMS cost/schedule data
  • Utilizing Micro-Frame Project Manager (MPM) for cost performance reporting
  • Reporting variances and preparing cost reviews
  • Generating weekly material reports
  • Developing EAC analyses for Material and Production of Major End Items
  • Using SAP Material Resource Planning (MRP) systems for earned value reporting
  • Supporting Integrated Product Teams on Major End Items
  • Setting up and monitoring cost control systems
  • Maintaining EVMS compliance including cost/schedule integration
  • Performing analyses and generating reports to ensure contract compliance
  • Preparing spend plans, reviewing EACs, and updating EVMS baselines
  • Assisting with WBS development, task time-phasing, and earned value methodologies
  • Creating financial charts and developing recovery plans as needed
  • Reconciliation of actuals, managing budget change requests, and ensuring proper accounting
  • Incorporating contractual changes to maintain realistic baselines

This position may be filled at a higher level based on the qualifications below.

Basic Qualifications: Material Analyst Level 2
  • Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of experience, or Master’s degree, or High School Diploma with 6 years’ experience
  • Familiar with EVMS
  • Experience with Cost Account Management monthly reporting
  • Use of Deltek Cobra or MPM
  • Proficiency with SAP or similar MRP tools
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Basic Qualifications: Material Analyst Level 3
  • Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience, or Master’s degree with 3 years, or High School Diploma with 9 years’ experience
  • Experience with EVMS
  • Experience with Cost Account Management reporting
  • Use of Deltek Cobra or MPM
  • Proficiency with SAP or similar MRP tools
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certifications in Earned Value Management or Project Management
  • Experience with Micro-Frame Program Manager (MPM), SAP Management Project Systems, Business Warehouse (BW)
  • Experience in Finance, Procurement, Logistics, Purchasing, Subcontracting, Supply Chain Management, and Production

Salary Range: $70,600 - $105,800
Salary Range 2: $87,000 - $130,600

The salary offered will depend on various factors including experience, education, and skills. Benefits include health insurance, life and disability insurance, savings plans, paid holidays, and PTO. The application period is approximately 20 days from posting, subject to change.
