World Relief in Austin is seeking a Match Grant Program Specialist to deliver employment and self-sufficiency services to refugees and other eligible clients. The role provides case management, job readiness, resumes, interviews, and job placement, with transportation support and ongoing employer liaison.

Hybrid work arrangement, 3 days in office and 2 remote, offering collaboration with partners while empowering clients toward economic self-sufficiency.

POSITION SUMMARY:

World Relief seeks a Match Grant Program Specialist to provide critical employment and self-sufficiency services to refugees and other eligible persons enrolled in the Match Grant Program. This position assists clients in achieving early economic self-sufficiency by providing employment preparation and support, assisting with job searches and applications, developing individualized employment plans, and connecting clients with employment opportunities and community resources. The position also provides ongoing case management and counseling to help clients overcome barriers to employment and successfully transition to self-sufficiency. This role is based out of the Austin office.

This is a hybrid role- 3 days in office and 2 work from home.

  • Provide ongoing case management to Match Grant clients throughout the program period, including assessing client needs, developing and monitoring individualized service plans, identifying barriers to self-sufficiency, providing guidance and support, and connecting clients with appropriate social services and community resources.
  • Provide employment-focused case management and support to assist clients in achieving economic self-sufficiency, including job readiness, job searches, applications, resume development, interview preparation, employment placement, job retention, and career advancement.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients through home visits, phone calls, office visits, and other appropriate methods to monitor progress, provide ongoing support, and address employment, social service, and other needs that may impact self-sufficiency.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with employers and community partners to identify employment opportunities, advocate for the hiring of clients, and support successful job placement and retention.
  • Research employment opportunities, vocational training, credentialing programs, and career pathways that align with clients' skills, experience, and career goals, including opportunities beyond traditional entry-level positions. Assist clients with employment-related requirements, including resumes, cover letters, applications, letters of recommendation, onboarding paperwork, drug screenings, background checks, and obtaining necessary state or employment documentation.
  • Provide transportation support to job interviews, orientations, and employment during the initial days of employment, as needed and in accordance with program guidelines.
  • Maintain regular communication with employers to support job retention, address workplace concerns, strengthen employer relationships, and identify potential new employment opportunities.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate case notes and client files, ensuring required documentation is complete and services are provided in compliance with Match Grant and ORR program requirements.
  • Provide initial and ongoing orientation and education related to employment, workplace expectations, job retention, financial self-sufficiency, and available community resources and services.
  • Coordinate with World Relief programs, community organizations, and service providers to ensure clients have access to appropriate social services, vocational training, education, legal services, and other resources that support successful integration and self-sufficiency.
  • Equip clients to independently navigate employment and social service systems, advocate for their needs, and develop the skills necessary to achieve long-term self-sufficiency.
  • Attend required staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities and maintain regular office hours as scheduled

  • Valid drivers license, access to reliable vehicle and ability to pass MVR standards
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Bachelor’s degree or at least one-year experience in an office environment
