Qualifications

• Certification or registration as a Substance Use Disorder Counselor per California requirements, or eligibility.
• Knowledge of substance use disorders, recovery principles, and medication-assisted treatment.
• Experience delivering counseling, case management, or behavioral health services.
• Ability to maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide counseling to patients receiving MAT using evidence-based practices and regulations.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment and recovery plans.
• Maintain a caseload of up to 65 patients.
• Complete clinical charts, notes, assessments, and billing documentation timely.
• Coordinate patient care with medical and behavioral health teams as needed.
• Use EHR systems (AVATAR, myEvolve) to document services.
• Ensure confidentiality and compliance with Title 9, Title 22, CARF, DEA, CSAT and related standards.
