PrimeCare Medical Inc. is seeking a dedicated MAT Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Lancaster, PA-based team on a full-time day shift.

The RN will provide nursing care for the MAT program in the prison facility, ensure adherence to PCM policies, and coordinate care for patients with Substance Use Disorder. The role involves supervising MAT nursing staff, managing daily MAT dosing, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring security requirements are met while delivering compassionate care to

Description

PrimeCare Medical Inc. is looking for dedicated and hard-working MAT Registered Nurse (RN)to work full-time on the day shift in the medical department at the Lancaster County Prison in Lancaster, PA.

Available Shift: FT Day (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)

Job Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care for Medication Assisted Treatment Program in accordance with PCM Policies and Procedures. Ensures that nursing practice complies with established nursing standards, and scope of practice limitations.


• Function as Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) Nurse and coordinate care for all patients receiving medications for Substance Use Disorder.


• Assigning and directing the MAT nursing staff and overseeing the patient care being distributed.


• Provide comprehensive nursing care while observing and maintaining security requirements.


• Responsible for coordination and implementation of daily dosing of MAT medications in accordance with facility procedures and PCM dosing policy.


• Act as MAT patient liaison through permitted communications on behalf of PCM, the contracted facility and outside agencies.


• Coordinate care for all MAT Patients and/or applicable candidates by obtaining records, coordinating care and making appropriate referrals.


• Maintaining accurate records of all controlled substances, narcotics and sharps in accordance with applicable state and federal laws


• Conducting sick call for inmate/patients and provide treatment illnesses and injuries, defined by written protocol and approved by PCM Medical Director


• Observing, reporting, and documenting symptoms, reactions and progress of inmates/patients and participate in the formulation of the plan of care


• Record, retrieve and file medical information in the inmate/patient medical record

This position provides a 2-week orientation period where you will be training on-the-job and shadowing with the nursing staff.
