Job summary

New Brunswick Counseling Center (NBCC) is seeking a Part-Time Registered Nurse (RN) to support the Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) Program at the New Brunswick location. This role focuses on safe, patient-centered care during early morning dosing hours.

Responsibilities include nursing assessments, MAT administration, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to ensure regulatory compliance, quality care, and recovery support for patients with substance use disorders.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license.
• Commit to three morning weekday shifts and two Saturday shifts per month.
• Experience with MAT/OTP/addiction treatment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments for new admissions and ongoing care.
• Administer and dispense medications in line with OTP regulations.
• Monitor patients on MAT for effectiveness, side effects, and clinical changes.
• Collaborate with Medical Director and multidisciplinary team on dosing and care decisions.
• Document medication administration and nursing assessments promptly.
• Perform TB testing, vital signs, and other screenings as ordered.
• Respond to medical emergencies with appropriate first aid and interventions.
• Identify changes in patient condition and escalate to medical staff as needed.
• Educate patients on medications, treatment plans, and health maintenance.
• Serve as a clinical resource for staff on patient medical needs and best practices.
