Description

• This position requires a Masters Level Therapist to provide trauma-informed individual and group counseling services to survivors of IPV and children in Bronx, NY.


• The role is full-time with flexible hours, requiring evening and Saturday availability. The therapist will use generic technology for client management and reporting.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling Psychology, or equivalent.


• Bilingual in Spanish/English.


• 1-2 years of experience in trauma-informed domestic violence prevention.


• Experience with adults who have caused harm in relationships.


• Experience with abuse/batterer intervention programming.


• Ability to work independently and in a team.


• Strong organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Licensure or on track for licensure; LCSW preferred.


• Knowledge of child development and trauma-informed practice.


• Understanding of family systems, relational and attachment theories.


• Strong oral and written communication skills.


• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and Saturdays.


• Training and experience with NYC child welfare involved families preferred.
