A Master’s Level Clinician I, under general supervision, performs evidence-based practice according to nationally-recognized standards to reduce symptoms and maximize recovery for individuals receiving services. A Master’s Level Clinician I ensures that all documentation of client contact and treatment services is complete, thorough, and accurate, to meet all agency, state, and professional standards. An employee in this class writes initial assessments that accurately build on strengths and deficits resulting in a DSM diagnosis. These assessments will include a history of mental health treatment, relevant family history, and current treatment recommendations. A Master’s Level Clinician I develops person-centered treatment plans that are written in the language of the consumer and reflect the consumer’s goals and measurable objectives. A Master’s Level Clinician may be required to be in an on-call rotation and performs other work duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES
An employee in this class generally performs sedentary work requiring the occasional lifting of objects weighing thirty-five (35) pounds or less.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
A Masters Level Clinician I generally works at the various HealthWest program locations; however, travel to locations within the County may be required.
