Job summary

McLaren Automotive Ltd. is seeking a Production Trainer to develop and deliver training programmes for Production Operators and Technicians across composites manufacturing.

The role focuses on perpetual skills development, standard work, and adherence to quality standards on the production line. You will create training materials, conduct inductions, and support new hires through probation, while collaborating with production, maintenance and engineering to continuously address skill gaps.

Qualifications

• Training qualification or suitable industry experience.
• Experience in a production/manufacturing environment.
• Attention to detail and ability to ensure clear instructions.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.
• Customer focus and understanding of product liability.
• Change management experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver consistent and comprehensive training to production operators and technicians.
• Conduct training sessions covering core aspects of composites manufacturing.
• Create and maintain training materials and version control.
• Train on quality control, defect prevention, and production efficiency.
• Induct new operators and support through probation period.
• Ensure safety protocols and company policies post-training.
• Monitor progress and provide feedback to trainees.
• Collaborate with production, maintenance and engineering to identify training needs.
• Develop detailed training plans with learning objectives and assessments.
• Create step-by-step task guides with visuals and examples.
• Tailor training plans to roles like Cutting, Laminating, Curing, Finishing, Inspection, Rework.
