Job summary

Genentech in Holly Springs, NC, seeks a Master Manufacturing Technician to support the design, startup, and qualification of high-volume automated visual inspection lines at a state-of-the-art facility. You will collaborate across Engineering, MSAT, Quality, and Regulatory teams as the end-user input for design and startup activities.

Role includes training others, authoring SOPs for new equipment, and ensuring cGMP-compliant operations during go-live and routine production.

Qualifications

• Minimum of High School with 7+ years production experience and/or AA degree with 5+ years technical experience in pharma/manufacturing.
• Proficient knowledge of SAP or ERP systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in science, manufacturing or engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

• Master daily operation, setup, and troubleshooting of high-speed Automated Visual Inspection (AVI) machines and secondary Visual Robotics units in a high-volume manufacturing setting.
• Perform manual visual inspections of filled drug products and classify defects for cGMP compliance.
• Maintain, audit, and re-certify defect kits for daily machine challenges and validation activities.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies and support investigations and system gaps.
• Manage material staging and movement for inspection lines to sustain continuous production flow.
• Complete and review process-related documentation and support training activities and metrics reporting.
• Participate in safety inspections, project meetings, and other tasks to maintain compliance and efficiency.
• Mentor junior technicians and support onboarding.
