Position Objectives and Minimum Qualifications
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION: This position provides support services and subject matter expertise in SOF tactical communications and ECM systems. This position operates out of the Zero Point office in Southern Pines, North Carolina.
- SOF EOD; Electronic Warfare; Sea, Air and Land Communicator or career field 18E (Special Forces Communications Sergeant) experience is Highly Desired. If not; More than two years of experience as Mobile ECM Electronic Technician (FSR), preferably with USSOCOM.
- 2 years’ experience providing instructional courses in communications systems
- Expert knowledge of current and emerging military ECM systems
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills
- Knowledge of radio frequency characteristics and antenna theory
- Proficient at troubleshooting electronic systems
- Knowledge of military training curriculum development and execution
- Expert knowledge of military ECM systems and communications systems
- Ability to work well in a team environment focusing on meeting tight deadlines
- Ability of lifting to a height of 40” and, without assistance, carrying equipment weighing up to 100 pounds, a distance of up to 50 feet
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software
Mandetary Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide expertise for the identification of faults, and complete the corrective actions to repair ECM systems up to the Direct Support level.
- Support the integration and fielding of ECM and communication solutions within the continental Unites States (CONUS) and overseas.
- Provide ECM and communications SME support to test efforts to assess ECM or communication techniques for capability, compatibility, or interoperability with various Government agencies.
- Inspect and test returned ECM material that is in an unknown condition and identify which material is fully operational, requires repair, or is beyond economical repair.
- All other duties as assigned by executive management.
