Job summary

Life Time, Inc. in California is seeking an Aquatics Masters Swim Team Coach to lead adult group workouts across indoor and outdoor pools. You’ll register new Masters participants and ensure a clean, orderly aquatic facility.

You will write and lead group workouts, support swimmers at meets, and promote Life Time products and services while upholding safety standards and CPR/First Aid requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2 years of coaching experience.
• Member of US Masters.
• Adult, Child, and Infant CPR/AED certified (completed within 60 days).
• First Aid certified (completed within 60 days).
• Must complete all job specific requirements with Life Time Education.
• Ability to swim 25 yards/meters without stopping.

Job description

Position Summary

As an Aquatics Masters Swim Team Coach, you will work in a fast-paced environment and will help our adult members improve their swimming in our state-of-the-art recreational and lap pools, both indoors and out. A typical day for Masters Swim Coach could include writing and leading Masters Group Workouts and registering new Masters participants for the group. You will help to maintain the cleanliness and order of our Aquatics Facilities.

• Establishes training programs to assist adult swimmers to achieve their goals
• Attends and supports swimmers at meets

Position Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2 years of coaching experience
• Member of US Masters
• Adult, Child, and Infant CPR/AED certified (completed within 60 days)
• First Aid certified (completed within 60 days)
• Must complete all job specific requirements with Life Time Education.
• Ability to work in a stationery position and move about the club for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to communicate and exchange information with guests who have inquiries about Life Time products and services
• Ability to swim 25 yards/meters without stopping
• Ability to routinely bend to raise 20 lbs or less and occasionally bend to raise more than 20lbs

Preferred Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field
• Masters Coach Certification Level 1 & 2

Pay

This is an hourly position with wages starting at $17.75 and pays up to $24.00, based on experience and qualifications.
