Job summary

Life Time, Inc. is seeking an Aquatics Assistant Swim Team Coach to help swimmers improve technique through daily practices and team workouts. You will support the Head Coach in planning group workouts and assist with registering participants while maintaining clean facilities.

Your role requires ASCA/USA Swimming involvement, Lifeguard certification, and ability to work in a fast-paced club environment; you will mentor youth and adults across indoor/outdoor pools.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year of swim coaching experience.
• ASCA member.
• USA Swimming member.
• Successfully complete Life Time Swim Instructor Certification.
• Ability to work stationary and move around the club for prolonged periods.
• Ability to communicate with guests about Life Time products and services.
• Ability to swim 25 yards/meters without stopping.
• Ability to bend to lift 20 lbs or less, occasionally more than 20 lbs.

Minimum Required Qualifications

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED

Years of Experience:

• 1 year of swim coaching experience
• Member of ASCA
• Member of USA Swimming
• Successfully complete and pass Life Time Swim Instructor Certification
• Ability to work in a stationery position and move about the club for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to communicate and exchange information with guests who have inquiries about Life Time products and services
• Ability to swim 25 yards/meters without stopping
• Ability to routinely and repetitively bend to lift 20 lbs or less and occasionally bend to lift more than 20lbs

Licenses / Certifications / Registrations:

• Lifeguard certification to StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid Certified (or bridge to StarGuard when current certification expires or within 1st year, whichever is first). For Canada, Lifesaving Society Lifeguard certification and Standard FA with CPR C.
• Lifeguard Certification within 60 days of hire
• Must complete all job specific requirements with Life Time Education.

Preferred Qualifications:

• ASCA Level 1 Certification or higher

Pay

This is an hourly position with wages starting at $17.50 and pays up to $20.50, based on experience and qualifications.
