General Summary & Scope

The Master Stylist engages with guests, consults on hair care needs, and recommends products and services. They deliver quality services focused on the guest’s total look, supporting the Experience Manager and Assistant Services Manager through performance, people, and process. A passion for the beauty industry, exceptional guest service, and product knowledge are essential.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Performance

• Perform hair services including design, cuts, color, treatments, styling, updos, perms, blowouts, keratin treatments, extensions, makeup, and ear piercing.
• Meet or exceed weekly sales goals of $1250 and productivity targets.
• Conduct product demonstrations to drive sales and enhance guest experience.
• Support in-store events, promotions, and marketing initiatives.
• Stay informed on industry trends, products, and services, and communicate their benefits to guests.
• Maintain consistent attendance.

People

• Develop guest relationships through consultations and recommendations.
• Serve all guests promptly and efficiently.
• Collaborate with skin therapists and retail team for a comprehensive guest experience.
• Build professional relationships with peers and brand partners.
• Promote the guest loyalty program and Ulta Beauty app.
• Attend training and meetings for professional growth.

Process

• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety, sanitation, and infection control standards.
• Follow established service protocols for quality guest experience.
• Use booking and clientele systems effectively.
• Communicate supply needs and maintain store cleanliness and standards.
• Adhere to dress code and loss prevention practices.
• Perform operational tasks as assigned.
