General Summary & Scope

The Master Stylist engages with guests, consults on hair care needs, and recommends products and services. They deliver quality professional services focused on the guest’s total look, support the Experience Manager (SM) and Assistant Services Manager (ASM), and aim for high performance, guest service, and adherence to operational standards. A passion for the beauty industry, exceptional guest service, and product knowledge communication skills are essential.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Performance

• Perform various hair services including design, cuts, color, treatments, styling, updos, perms, blowouts, keratin treatments, extensions, makeup, and ear piercing (where applicable).
• Achieve or surpass a weekly sales goal of $1250 and meet productivity targets through excellent guest service and sales efforts.
• Demonstrate products to guests to enhance sales and experience.
• Support in-store events, promotions, and marketing to improve guest experience.
• Stay informed on industry trends, products, and services, and communicate their benefits to guests.
• Maintain consistent attendance.

People

• Develop relationships through consultations and tailored recommendations.
• Serve all guests efficiently, including walk-ins.
• Collaborate with skin therapists and retail team to provide comprehensive guest service.
• Build professional relationships with peers and brand partners for exceptional service delivery.
• Promote the guest loyalty program, including credit and app benefits.
• Attend training and meetings for professional development.

Process

• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety, sanitation, and infection control standards.
• Follow service protocols for a consistent guest experience.
• Use booking and client management systems effectively.
• Communicate supply needs to the Experience Manager.
• Maintain cleanliness and operational standards in the store.
• Adhere to the dress code and loss prevention practices.
• Perform other operational tasks as assigned.

Job Qualifications

Education

• Cosmetology license required.

Experience

• Relevant work experience required.
