GENERAL SUMMARY & SCOPE

The Master Stylist engages with guests, consulting on hair care needs and recommending products and services. They deliver quality professional services focused on the guest’s total look while supporting the Experience Manager (SM) and Assistant Services Manager (ASM) through performance, people, and process. A passion for the beauty industry, exceptional guest service, and product knowledge are essential.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Performance

• Performing hair services including design, cuts, color, treatments, styling, updos, perms, blowouts, keratin treatments, extensions, makeup applications, and ear piercing.
• Meeting or exceeding weekly sales of $1250 and productivity goals, contributing to store sales, guest loyalty, and retail shrink reduction.
• Conducting product demonstrations to enhance sales and guest experience.
• Supporting in-store events, promotions, and marketing initiatives.
• Staying informed on industry trends, products, and services to better serve guests.
• Maintaining consistent attendance.

People

• Building guest relationships through consultations and recommendations.
• Serving all guests promptly and efficiently.
• Collaborating with skin therapists and retail teams for a comprehensive guest experience.
• Fostering professional relationships with peers and brand partners to deliver exceptional service.
• Promoting the guest loyalty program, including credit and the Ulta Beauty app.
• Attending mandatory trainings and meetings for ongoing professional development.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Cosmetology license

Experience: Relevant prior work experience required
