General Summary & Scope

The Master Stylist engages with guests, consults on hair care needs, and recommends products and services. They deliver quality services focusing on the guest’s total look, supporting the Experience Manager and Assistant Services Manager through performance, people, and process. A passion for beauty, exceptional guest service, and product knowledge are essential.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Performance

• Perform a variety of hair and makeup services, including haircuts, color, styling, treatments, extensions, and ear piercing where applicable.
• Achieve or surpass weekly sales and productivity goals, contribute to retail and service sales, guest loyalty, and store shrink targets.
• Demonstrate products and support marketing initiatives to enhance guest experience.
• Stay informed on industry trends and product benefits to serve guests better.
• Maintain consistent attendance.

People

• Build guest relationships through consultations and recommendations.
• Serve all guests efficiently, including walk-ins.
• Collaborate with skin therapists and retail teams for comprehensive guest service.
• Develop professional relationships with peers and brand partners.
• Promote the guest loyalty program and app.
• Attend training and meetings for professional growth.

Process

• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety, sanitation, and infection control standards.
• Follow established service protocols for a consistent guest experience.
• Use booking and client management systems effectively.
• Communicate supply needs and maintain store cleanliness and standards.
• Adhere to dress code and loss prevention practices.
• Perform other operational tasks as assigned.
