General Summary & Scope

The Master Stylist engages with guests, consulting on hair care needs, and recommending products and services. They deliver quality professional services focusing on the guest’s total look, supporting the Experience Manager and Assistant Services Manager through performance, people, and process. A passion for the beauty industry, exceptional guest service, and product knowledge are essential.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Performance

• Perform various hair services including design, cuts, color, treatments, styling, updos, perms, blowouts, keratin treatments, extensions, makeup, and ear piercing (if applicable).
• Achieve or surpass a weekly sales goal of $1250 through excellent guest service and contribute to retail and service sales, guest loyalty, and retail shrink goals.
• Conduct product demonstrations to enhance sales and guest experience.
• Support in-store events, promotions, and marketing initiatives.
• Stay informed about industry trends, products, and services to better serve guests.
• Maintain consistent attendance.

People

• Develop guest relationships through consultations and recommendations.
• Serve all guests efficiently, including walk-ins.
• Collaborate with skin therapists and retail team for a comprehensive guest experience.
• Build professional relationships with peers and brand partners.
• Promote the guest loyalty program and app.
• Attend trainings and meetings for professional growth.

Process

• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Follow safety, sanitation, and infection control standards.
• Adhere to service protocols for a consistent guest experience.
• Use booking and client management systems effectively.
• Communicate supply needs to the Experience Manager.
• Maintain cleanliness and operational standards in the salon.
• Follow dress code and loss prevention practices.
• Perform other operational tasks as assigned.

Job Qualifications

Education

• Cosmetology license required.

Experience

• Relevant work experience required.

• Proficiency in the latest salon techniques and equipment.
