General Summary & Scope

The Master Stylist engages with guests, consulting on hair care needs and recommending products and services. They deliver quality professional services focused on the guest’s overall look, supporting the Experience Manager and Assistant Services Manager through performance, guest service, and process adherence. A passion for the beauty industry, exceptional guest service skills, and product knowledge are essential.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Performance

• Perform various hair services (design, cuts, color, treatments, styling, updos, perms, blowouts, keratin, extensions, makeup, ear piercing).
• Achieve or surpass a weekly sales goal of $1250 and meet productivity targets through excellent guest service and sales efforts.
• Demonstrate products and services to guests to enhance sales and experience.
• Support in-store events, promotions, and marketing initiatives.
• Stay informed on industry trends and product ingredients to better serve guests.
• Maintain consistent attendance.

People

• Build guest relationships through consultations and recommendations.
• Serve all guests efficiently, including walk-ins.
• Collaborate with skin therapists and retail teams for a comprehensive guest experience.
• Develop professional relationships with peers and brand partners.
• Promote loyalty programs and app benefits.
• Attend training and meetings for ongoing development.

Process

• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards.
• Follow safety, sanitation, and infection control protocols, adhering to state guidelines.
• Follow established service protocols for consistency.
• Use booking and client management systems effectively.
• Communicate supply needs and maintain store cleanliness and standards.
• Adhere to dress code and loss prevention practices.
• Perform other operational tasks as assigned.

Job Qualifications

Education

• Cosmetology license required.
