Job summary

Express Saint Louis in Pevely, MO seeks a Structural Fabrication Welder to build complete welded assemblies from prints. You’ll read drawings, lay out parts, fit and weld structural tubing and fabricated components, and verify dimensions to spec.

You’ll work independently from prints with limited supervision in a true fabrication environment, handling non-repetitive, custom builds and maintaining a clean, safe, organized shop area.

Qualifications

• Hands-on welding and metal fabrication experience.
• Fluency reading blueprints/fabrication drawings.
• Confident with a tape measure and basic shop math.
• Ability to visualize how pieces come together into a final assembly.
• Strong understanding of fit-up and squareness in fabricated structures.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret fabrication drawings, blueprints, and precise measurements.
• Lay out parts and build assemblies from individual cut materials.
• Fit, align, and square structural tubing and fabricated components.
• Tack, weld, and join multiple sections to form complete assemblies.
• Check dimensions and overall fit throughout the build; adjust as needed to meet specs.
• Work independently from prints with limited supervision.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized work area.
