Job summary

Springs Window Fashions is seeking a Supply Planner to lead inventory performance and optimize capital use. You will partner with buyers, planners, product managers, and suppliers to ensure on-time materials, accurate forecasts, and optimal service levels.

This role focuses on PFEP, lead times, and continuous improvement in a fast-moving window coverings business. Responsibilities include monitoring inventory levels, reducing excess, and supporting PCR and SIOP processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management required.
  • Graduate degree preferred.
  • 1+ years experience in Supply Chain or Operations.

Responsibilities

  • Support buyers/planners in identifying risks and implementing corrective actions.
  • Review demand forecast by product line and component.
  • Ensure materials are available to support customer requirements while minimizing freight costs.

An integral role withing the Supply Chain team, by leading the inventory performance, excess & obsolete process, supports NPI & change management through Product Change Process (PCR) and supports SIOP. These responsibilities are aimed at strong business process performance that will be driven through working relationships with supply chain managers, product managers, materials managers, and buyer/planners. The Supply Planner will monitor and evaluate inventory positions and recommend / initiate actions. The Supply Planner will focus on strategic investments in working capital and inventory planning to support exceptional customer delivery.


Job Responsibilities


Service (30%)



  • Support buyers/planners in identifying risks and implementing corrective actions.

  • Review demand forecast by product line & component.

  • Ensure materials are available to support customer requirements while minimizing the freight costs.

  • Keep material availability dates updated andaccurate.

  • Monitor manufacturing capacity requirements both short and long term.

  • Work with Demand Planning and Product Managers to develop accurate forecasts.

  • Work with Product Management on ensuring new products perform acceptably.

  • Overall product line responsibility for service levels.


Inventory (30%)



  • Work with Purchasing on reducing lead times,minimumsand price break quantities.

  • Provide forecasts to major suppliersif required.

  • Define component inventory targets.

  • Define and update planning parameters.

  • Monitor and maintain PFEPs (Plan For Every Part) for associated product lines.

  • New products releases are coordinated and managed to project plans / milestones

  • Continuously look for inventory opportunities

  • Monitor \"aged\" inventories toidentifyopportunities to reduce and preventexcess

  • Overall product line responsibility for inventory levels

  • Get all obsolete/rejected inventory dispositioned andultimately consumed,soldor scrapped


People, Process, Culture (10%)



  • Review procedures and practices toidentifycontinuous improvement opportunities

  • Provide guidance, direction and help mentor all fellow associates

Maintenance (30%)



  • Responsible formaintainingthe most effective/efficient system settings

  • Create work orders and purchase orders in accordance with our service and inventory objectives as required

  • Analyze component consumption patterns & load forecast adjustments or overrides

  • Review all PCR (Product Change Requests) and take appropriate action

  • Component maintenance: eff date, SS elimination, remove forecast, etc.

  • Monitor and ensure all lead times are accurate

  • Maintain integrity and accuracy of attach rate plans

  • Work with Product Management to most efficiently and effectively introduce and exit programs


Requirements

What We Are Looking For


Education and Experience



  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management,and/or graduate degree

  • 1+ years of experience in Supply Chain or Operations preferred

  • Prior experience working in custom ATO of highly configured products

  • Preferred candidate will have prior experience with SAP, Anaplan, and/or FriedmanCorporation(Frontier software/FRN)


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities



  • Strong proficiency with ERP/MRP systems

  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products

  • Competency with PC-based networked applications

  • Ability to analyze data, prioritize effectively, and make sound, time-sensitive decisions

  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills

  • Understanding of PFEP (Plan for Every Part) concepts

  • Bilingual a plus

Salary and Other Compensation:


The annual base for this position is reasonably expected to be between $75,000.00 and $85,000.00 Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
