Job summary

Keytronic in Spokane Valley, WA, seeks a corporate liaison to develop and maintain the Master Production Schedule across accounts and ensure on-time order fulfillment.

You will interface with customers, monitor demand, and coordinate with Purchasing, Scheduling, and Production to implement timely changes and maintain strong quality standards.

Strong communication, organizational skills, and proficiency with MS Office are essential for success in this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • High school or equivalent or associate degree in business.
  • Five years’ experience in manufacturing planning.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business data.
  • Excellent written and oral communication.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Receives customer demand in forecast and PO forms, and analyzes information for changes and feasibility.
  • Enters and maintains all customer order activities in compliance with contracts.
  • Develops, publishes and maintains the global Master Production Schedule for accounts.
  • Initiates corrective actions to production schedules due to changes in business.
  • Facilitates expediting/de-expediting of schedule changes.
  • Responds to customer inquiries on orders, availability, lead times, and pricing.
  • Participates in Change Control Board activities coordinating ECN effects with Purchasing, Scheduling and Production.
  • Other duties assigned by manager.

Job Summary

This position is a corporate liaison for and between all departments on production scheduling and related production activities. Will develop, monitor, and maintain Master Production Build Schedules, and will interface with customers on all order fulfillment activities.


Essential Functions

  • Receives customer demand in forecast and purchase order forms, and analyzes information for changes and feasibility.
  • Enters and maintains all customer order activities in compliance with the established business agreements/contracts of assigned accounts, and company and department procedures.
  • Develops, publishes and maintains the global Master Production Schedule for assigned accounts.
  • Initiates appropriate corrective actions to production schedules when dictated by changes in business.
  • Facilitates the expediting/de-expediting of all schedule changes.
  • Responds to customer inquiries on open/closed orders, product availability, lead-times, and pricing.
  • Other duties assigned by manager.
  • Participates in the Change Control Board activities that include the coordinating of Engineering Change Notice (ECN) effectivity with Purchasing, Scheduling, and Production.

Supervision

Under limited supervision by the Corporate Global Demand Manager this position will develop the corporate build plans and administer the order fulfillment activities.


Minimum Qualifications

  • High School or equivalent and/or Associate’s degree in business.
  • Five years’ experience in the manufacturing planning field and/or college related courses.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business data with some knowledge of spreadsheets and general accounting practices.
  • Present information and respond to questions from all levels of associates and the customer.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills, with the ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously in a timely manner in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills; must be able to write and understand routine reports, follow oral and written instructions, and speak effectively.
  • Must be accurate, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to relate to and work with diverse groups of people.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Must have a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and materials. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related technical field.
  • APICS certification with considerable experience using MRP planning software.
  • Three years experience in the EMS planning field (Forecasting, Capacity Analysis, and Production Scheduling).
  • Ability to read, write, and speak Vietnamese, Chinese, and/or Spanish.

Physical Demands

The employee is regularly required to sit; use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, talk, hear, and see. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or reach with hands and arms. The employee will regularly multi-task between projects, be required to move throughout the office building, and effectively communicate.


Work Environment

The environment is fast-paced; time pressured, and requires accuracy. The normal environment is quiet and typical of an open cubical setting with some areas that may be louder at times.
