Job summary

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years with a degree (or 5-8 years without a degree) supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the activities of Production and Inventory Control department to provide optimum support to the JIT manufacturing organization through effective scheduling of customer-driven releases while insuring 100% on-time delivery.
  • Control all levels of inventory to assure JIT supply of quality product to the customer.
  • Schedule production operations to maximum efficiency.
  • Coordinate the activities of direct reports to ensure timely completion of all assigned tasks.
  • Manage physical inventories to meet established goals.
  • Translate weekly customer demand into master schedule for stamping and assembly.
  • Coordinate customer volume fluctuations with the manufacturing group, to include customer shutdown schedules.
  • Coordinate with manufacturing and engineering the planning and scheduling of trial builds.
  • Housekeeping and other activities as assigned.
