Job summary

Magna International in Liberty, Missouri, is seeking an Assistant Logistics Manager to oversee finished goods, WIP, and raw materials, ensuring alignment with build plans and customer requirements. You will coordinate material handling systems and monitor fleet and equipment performance.

The role drives continuous improvement, supports annual inventories, and collaborates with Purchasing, Manufacturing, Engineering and Quality to optimize the supply chain. APICS certification is desirable.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 education or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree in logistics or related field and 5 years’ experience or combination of education and experience with Program Planning & Scheduling in Automotive Industry.
• APICS certification desired.

Responsibilities

• Monitor Inventory Levels in the Plant for Finished Goods, WIP and Raw Materials to support Build Plan.
• Support and continuous improvement of Material Handling Systems in the Plant.
• Monitor Equipment Status and provide proper maintenance of Forklift, Tuggers, Reach Trucks, AMRs, Carts, Flow Racks, and Racking System.
• Monitor Performance Reviews and provide continual feedback.
• Coordinate annual physical inventories and collaborate with Purchasing, Manufacturing, Engineering and Quality.
