Master's Level Clinician (BCBA/AS) Provider - Consultant

Job Description

Integrated Behavioral Technologies, Inc. (IBT) is a group of caring individuals whose goal is to provide children and their families with the behavioral therapy services they need to succeed. We are a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization that serves children across the state of Kansas with a focus on rural and low-income areas. IBT is hiring several Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and/or Autism Specialists (AS) at our Emporia, KS clinic.

Job Responsibilities (actual percentages may vary based on week/month):

  1. 20% Create Individualized Treatment Plans: develop treatment plans based on the principles of ABA to address communication, feeding, behavior, adaptive daily living, and social skills and update as necessary.
  2. 20% Create and monitor child’s data: design data collection systems to track and evaluate client progress on treatment plan objectives.
  3. 15% Consult with senior BCBA on treatment teams for behavior and programming issues: staying in close contact with the BCBA to identify changes in a child’s behavior and to discuss changes in procedures regarding behavior management and skill acquisition.
  4. 10% Conduct assessments (e.g. VB-MAPP): sitting with the client and determining whether he/she is able to conduct certain tasks.
  5. 10% Conduct functional behavior assessments: observing client behavior, interviewing providers and parents regarding client behavior and determining function of behavior.
  6. 10% Supervise 1:1 discrete trial teaching; observe implementers providing treatment to clients, review implementer’s documentation and data collection and provide feedback as needed.
  7. 10% Manage behavior intervention plans; create, maintain, and modify function-based behavior.

Required Qualifications

The Consultant will be:

  1. Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or Assistant Behavior Analyst licensed through the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board (KSBSRB), or
  2. Board-Certified Behavior Analyst – Doctoral (BCBA-D), or Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), or Board-Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCABA), or
  3. An individual with a master’s degree, preferably in Human Services or Education with documented experience working with a child with an Autism Spectrum Disorder and completion of the state-approved training curriculum.
  4. Such letter shall be signed by the HCBS director or agency-designated staff.
  5. Providers applying under this criterion shall present a letter signed by KDADS-HCBS showing acceptance of presented qualification/credential.
  6. Additionally, the individual must have a clean background, as evidenced through background checks of records maintained by the Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI), Adult Protective Services (APS), Child Protective Services (CPS), Nurse Aide Registry, and Motor Vehicle screen.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Board Certified Behavior Analyst (or Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst). Must be licensed in the State of Kansas as a Licensed Behavior Analyst.
  2. At minimum 1 year of training service providers to work with children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD).
  3. Master’s degree in early childhood, education, behavior analysis, psychology, social work, music therapy, language, or a related field.
  4. Experience conducting interventions or research with children with behavior problems.
  5. Experience conducting family trainings on ABA based treatment plans.
  6. 12 months minimum experience working with families in home and/or community-based settings.
  7. Proficiency with Word and/or other word processing programs.
  8. Data analysis experience (SPSS, Excel etc.).
  9. Strong written and oral communication skills as evidenced in work history.
  10. Strong organizational and planning skills as evidenced in work history.
