Job summary

Intuit is offering a Fraud & Risk Analyst Intern position in Mountain View as part of the Emerging Talent Program. The 12-week summer internship provides project work with business impact, mentorship, and exposure to product ecosystems across the company.

You will work with data scientists and engineers to deliver insights, build dashboards, and support risk policy decisions with hands-on analytics using SQL, Python, and Tableau.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of relevant experience; fraud or risk preferred.
• Advanced SQL and coding for data profiling and aggregation.
• Experience with statistical analysis to justify policy recommendations is preferred.
• Relational databases experience (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, Vertica) highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Translate business questions into verifiable hypotheses and run experiments to test them.
• Use data to understand fraudulent and financial risk behavior and inform policy decisions.
• Identify process improvements and propose projects addressing key issues for a better customer experience.
• Deliver metrics via dashboards using diverse data sources to track risk activity and policy effectiveness.
• Curate and standardize risk-related datasets used as the foundation for fraud analysis.
• Utilize SQL, Python, Tableau, and spreadsheets to analyze and visualize data for policy discussions.
• Create clear diagrams documenting data flows and processes.
• Validate data integrity and quality for analysis, ensuring reliable insights.
• Collaborate with fraud investigation teams, policy makers, product managers, and data scientists.
