Job summary

Intuit is offering a Fraud & Risk Analyst Intern position in New York, part of the Emerging Talent program. You will work with product managers, engineers, and data scientists on data-driven fraud insights with mentoring from senior leaders.

You’ll gain hands-on experience with SQL, Python, and visualization tools, contributing to policy decisions and risk dashboards during a 12-week summer cycle.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of relevant experience with strong analytical ability.
• Advanced SQL and coding skills for data analysis and policy support.
• Experience with statistics to justify policy recommendations preferred.
• Relational databases experience (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, Vertica) preferred.
• Data analytics and visualization tools knowledge (Excel, Python, Tableau, QlikView etc.).

Responsibilities

• Translate business questions into testable hypotheses and experiments.
• Use data to understand risk behavior and inform policy decisions.
• Identify process improvements and project opportunities.
• Deliver metrics on risk activity via dashboards across data sources.
• Curate risk datasets used for cross-Intuit fraud analysis.
• Use SQL, Python, Tableau to analyze and visualize data.
• Document data flows and business processes with diagrams.
• Validate data integrity for analysis.
• Collaborate with fraud teams, policy makers, product managers, data scientists.
