Job summary

Grammer is seeking a Master Production Scheduler to drive production planning for automotive interiors and seating systems. You will schedule output, manage manpower, and maintain inventory to meet production goals, while collaborating with Customer Service to prioritize orders and coordinate with the Production Manager on forecasts.

Ideal candidates have an associate degree or equivalent, 2+ years scheduling experience in automotive or Tier1/Tier2 environments, and strong SAP/MRP knowledge to

Qualifications

• Associate Degree or Equivalent Experience is required.
• Minimum 2 years production scheduling experience in a similar environment.
• Automotive and/or Tier1/Tier 2 manufacturing experience is required.
• Significant experience with MRP and scheduling systems, specifically SAP.

Responsibilities

• Schedule production output.
• Plan manpower for each job with standard manpower for press/assembly.
• Maintain inventory levels to meet production schedule.
• Coordinate with Customer Service to prioritize and fulfill customer needs.
• Guide material planning for on-hand component inventory to build production to customer needs.
• Monitor inventory adjustments and cycle counts.
• Coordinate forecasts with Production Manager.
• Track schedule performance vs. production actuals.
• Monitor customer systems for daily changes.
• Prepare and distribute customer releases.
• Participate in year-end inventory planning and counts.
• Produce and review customer requirement reports weekly and monthly.
• Support Production Performance.
• Promote IATF 16949 compliance.

Master Production Scheduler

What are your main tasks?

• Scheduling – production output
• Manpower – schedules each job with standard manpower by way of press/assembly
• Maintain inventory levels in order to meet production schedule
• Work closely with Customer Service Representatives to prioritize and fulfill customer needs
• Guides material planning for on hand component inventory to build production to customer needs
• Monitor inventory adjustments and cycle counts
• Coordinate forecasts with Production Manager
• Track schedule performance vs. production actuals
• Monitor customer computer systems for daily changes
• Prepares and distributes customer releases
• Participates and guides year-end inventory planning and counts
• Customer requirement reports with weekly and monthly information
• Production Performance
• Promotes IATF 16949 compliance

What are your qualifications?

• Associate Degree or Equivalent Experience
• Minimum 2 years production scheduling experience in a similar environment
• Automotive and/or Tier1/Tier 2 manufacturing experience
• Significant experience with MRP and scheduling systems (specifically SAP)
• Ability to identify urgent or emerging problems, develop alternative corrective actions and engage appropriate colleagues in the timely implementation of corrective actions
