TSK HOUSING is seeking an experienced Master Plumber to provide technical oversight and plumbing expertise across our St. Louis-area apartment portfolio.

This is an oversight and advisory role focused on resolving significant plumbing issues, managing permits, and ensuring code compliance. Ideal candidates will guide maintenance teams, stepping in for serious problems rather than routine repairs.

Qualifications

• Active St. Louis County Master Plumber license.
• Ability to pull permits on behalf of the company.
• Familiarity with plumbing codes, permits, inspections, and municipal requirements.
• Ability to provide technical direction and oversee work performed by staff or outside contractors.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to visit properties across the St. Louis area.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance on significant or complicated plumbing issues across our properties.
• Help maintenance teams diagnose serious plumbing problems and determine solutions.
• Oversee plumbing work to ensure it is completed correctly and meets code requirements.
• Pull and manage plumbing permits and coordinate required inspections and permit closeouts.
• Serve as the company’s primary plumbing resource for repairs, installations, and code compliance.
• Coordinate with municipal permitting departments and inspectors as needed.
• Help evaluate larger plumbing repairs and projects and determine when outside contractors are necessary.
• Provide occasional technical guidance on HVAC issues if experienced.
• Help ensure plumbing work across the portfolio is performed safely and in accordance with regulations.

About the Position

We are a multifamily housing company seeking an experienced Master Plumber to provide technical oversight and plumbing expertise across our St. Louis-area apartment portfolio.

This is primarily an oversight and advisory role, focused on helping our maintenance teams resolve significant plumbing issues, ensuring work is performed correctly, and managing plumbing permits and inspections.

Rather than handling routine maintenance calls or everyday repairs, the ideal candidate will serve as our in-house plumbing expert, stepping in when more serious issues arise and helping ensure that work is completed properly and in compliance with applicable codes and licensing requirements.

• Provide technical guidance on significant or complicated plumbing issues across our properties.
• Help maintenance teams diagnose serious plumbing problems and determine the appropriate solutions.
• Oversee plumbing work as needed to ensure it is completed correctly and meets applicable code requirements.
• Pull and manage plumbing permits and coordinate required inspections and permit closeouts.
• Serve as the company’s primary plumbing resource when questions arise regarding repairs, installations, and code compliance.

Required Qualifications

• Active St. Louis County Master Plumber license, with the ability to meet applicable requirements for pulling permits on behalf of the company.
• Strong practical plumbing knowledge and the ability to diagnose significant plumbing problems.
• Familiarity with plumbing codes, permits, inspections, and municipal requirements.
• Ability to provide technical direction and oversee work performed by maintenance personnel or outside contractors.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to visit properties throughout the St. Louis area as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with multifamily apartment properties.
• Experience with plumbing permits and municipal inspections in St. Louis County and surrounding municipalities.
• HVAC knowledge or experience is a plus, but not required.
• Experience advising maintenance teams and overseeing plumbing projects.

We are looking for a knowledgeable, experienced professional who can provide expert guidance when needed, oversee important plumbing work, and take responsibility for the permitting and inspection process.

This position is best suited to someone who enjoys troubleshooting, advising, and ensuring work is done right, without being responsible for routine day-to-day service calls or performing every repair personally.

Compensation and Arrangement

Target compensation is approximately $100,000-$150,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.

We are open to either direct employment or an independent contractor arrangement with a qualified professional or plumbing business, subject to applicable licensing, insurance, and regulatory requirements.
