Job summary

Integrated Autism Centers seeks a licensed Master Plumber to lead our commercial and residential plumbing operations. You will oversee complex installations, diagnose and repair major systems, and mentor apprentices in a fast-paced environment.

You will pull permits, ensure compliance with codes, review work for quality, and manage safety and equipment usage. A strong background in codes and leadership is essential.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Completion of a recognized plumbing apprenticeship or trade school certification.
  • Strong customer-facing communication and leadership abilities.
  • Deep knowledge of local plumbing codes and blueprint reading.
  • Ability to read blueprints and interpret specifications.

Responsibilities

Job description

Job Summary:

We are looking for a licensed and experienced Master Plumber to lead our commercial and residential plumbing operations. You will oversee complex installations, diagnose and repair major plumbing systems, pull official permits, ensure strict compliance with local and national building codes, and mentor apprentice and journeyman plumbers in the field.

Key Responsibilities:
  • System Installation & Repair: Install, repair, and maintain complex water supply, drainage, gas, and septic systems.
  • Leadership & Supervision: Lead field troubleshooting efforts, review work for code compliance, and train apprentice and journeyman staff.
  • Code & Permit Compliance: Read and interpret blueprints, coordinate with expeditor/local authorities to pull plumbing permits, and ensure all work passes city or state inspections on the first attempt.
  • Estimating & Bidding: Inspect client sites, calculate material and labor costs, and provide accurate, transparent job estimates and bids.
  • Emergency Response: Respond to urgent or after-hours plumbing service calls as required.
  • Safety & Maintenance: Maintain a clean, hazard-free workspace, safely operate hand/power tools and heavy plumbing machinery, and follow OSHA safety guidelines.
Required Qualifications & Licenses:
  • License: Active, in good standing Master Plumber License issued by the state/municipality.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 to 10 years of professional experience in plumbing, including multi-family residential or commercial systems.
  • Education: High school diploma or GED; completion of a recognized plumbing apprenticeship program or trade school certification.
  • Technical Knowledge: Deep expertise in local plumbing codes, blueprint reading, backflow prevention, and pipe-fitting machinery.
  • Soft Skills: Strong customer-facing communication skills, leadership capabilities, and problem-solving aptitude.
  • Requirements: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to pass a background check and drug screen; physical strength to lift heavy equipment and work in tight or awkward spaces.
Compensation & Benefits:
  • Salary Range: $95000 - $130,000 per year (commensurate with experience).
