Job summary

Volarify is seeking an experienced Master Plumber to join our Danbury, CT team. The role involves diagnosing complex plumbing issues, installing and repairing plumbing systems for residential and commercial properties, and responding to emergency service calls in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will hold an Active Connecticut Master Plumber license with at least 7 years of hands-on experience, read blueprints, and demonstrate strong problem-solving and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Active Connecticut Master Plumber license is required.
• Minimum 7 years hands-on plumbing experience.
• Experience in residential and commercial plumbing service and repair.

Master/Licensed Plumber

Location: Danbury, CT

Job Summary

Our Client is seeking an experienced and licensed Master Plumber to join our growing team in Danbury, CT. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in residential and commercial plumbing, emergency service, drain cleaning, and advanced plumbing repairs.

This is a hands-on role responsible for diagnosing complex plumbing issues, performing installations and repairs, responding to emergency service calls, and ensuring all work is completed safely and in compliance with applicable Connecticut plumbing codes.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair residential and commercial plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, water heaters, sump pumps, sewage pumps, and sewer lines.
• Perform emergency plumbing repairs and respond to service calls with urgency and professionalism.
• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems for residential and commercial properties.
• Perform drain cleaning, hydro-jetting, sewer line repairs, and video camera inspections.
• Troubleshoot water leaks, clogged drains, burst pipes, and other plumbing emergencies.
• Perform water heater installation, repair, and maintenance.
• Read and interpret plumbing blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
• Ensure all plumbing work complies with applicable Connecticut state and local plumbing codes and safety regulations.
• Pull permits and coordinate inspections when required and authorized.
• Oversee and mentor apprentice and journeyman plumbers as needed.
• Communicate clearly with customers, explain plumbing issues, and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Provide professional customer service and explain repair options and pricing.
• Accurately document work completed, materials used, and time spent for billing and service records.
• Maintain company vehicles, tools, and plumbing equipment in proper working condition.
• Collaborate with dispatch and operations teams to prioritize and complete service calls efficiently.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Active Connecticut Master Plumber license or applicable Connecticut plumbing contractor license required.
• Minimum 7 years of hands-on plumbing experience preferred.
• Proven experience in residential and commercial plumbing service and repair.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, codes, standards, and best practices.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing complex plumbing issues.
• Experience with emergency plumbing, drain cleaning, and sewer line systems.
• Hands-on experience with water heaters, sump pumps, and plumbing fixtures.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and lead plumbing projects when required.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work on-call, weekends, holidays, and emergency shifts as required.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening, if required by the company.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in confined spaces, including standing, kneeling, crouching, and bending for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with hydro-jetting equipment and sewer camera systems.
• Experience with excavation-related plumbing repairs.
• Experience with water damage restoration or emergency property services.
• Prior experience mentoring apprentices or junior plumbers.
• Experience working in a franchise or multi-location service environment.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
• Additional relevant plumbing or trade certifications.
