Job description

Landmark College has an immediate opening for a Master Plumber (7 a.m. – 3 p.m., Monday through Friday).

Reporting to the Director of Facilities, the Master Plumber is primarily responsible for plumbing, HVAC maintenance, and associated functions on campus. The Plumber is also responsible for organizing and managing the preventative and cycle maintenance program as it pertains to systems and operations within the above responsibilities. The Plumber also participates in snow removal operations and other duties as needed.

Essential requirements include:

1. Three to five years of experience in the field of plumbing and a Master Plumber’s license valid in the State of Vermont or ability to become licensed within six months of hire.
2. High school diploma or GED.
3. Ability to read blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
4. Strong computer skills, including the ability to use standard administrative software, databases, and mechanical system control interface software.
5. Ability to learn and complete routine maintenance functions with minimal direct supervision.
6. Willingness to learn and practice a variety of safety procedures, such as tool and machinery operation.
7. Must have initiative, energy, and willingness to learn and assume new challenges.
8. Ability to be contacted on very short notice during off-hours.
