Freese and Nichols, Inc. is seeking a Water/Wastewater Master Planning & Modeling Project Manager based in Overland Park, Kansas. The chosen candidate will manage technical tasks, lead project teams, and provide expertise for municipal water/wastewater projects.

The ideal applicant should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, be licensed in Oklahoma, Arkansas or Kansas, and possess over 4 years of experience. Familiarity with hydraulic modeling software and GIS applications is preferred.

Job description

Freese and Nichols is seeking a Water/Wastewater Master Planning & Modeling Project Manager based in one of our Central Plains Offices; Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Rogers, Arkansas or Overland Park, Kansas.

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead technical tasks, develop scope/fee and support business development activities, including proposal development for water/wastewater master planning and hydraulic modeling projects.
• Lead multiple project teams for municipal water and wastewater studies, such as water and wastewater master plans, water distribution and sewer collection system hydraulic modeling, water quality modeling in distribution systems and asset management.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams.
• Work with utilities to solve complex issues and develop capital improvement plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in Oklahoma, Arkansas or Kansas.
• 4+ years of related experience.

Preferred Expertise

• Experience with hydraulic modeling software, such as Innovyze products (InfoWater, InfoWorks ICM SE, InfoSewer, InfoSWMM, H2OSURGE, InfoAsset Planner) and/or Bentley products (SewerGEMS, WaterGEMS, Hammer).
• Experience with GIS applications in water and wastewater planning.
• Experience in client development, sales/marketing, proposal development.
• Excellent communication skills, both technical writing and verbal.
