Job summary

Generac is seeking a seasoned Supply Chain Planner to develop and maintain supply plans across multiple facilities, ensuring alignment of demand, capacity, inventory, and materials. You will lead SIOP activities, translate forecasts into executable plans, and drive improvements across Berlin, Beaver Dam, Allmand, and Enercon.

The role requires 5+ years in supply planning within manufacturing, strong SAP/MRP experience, and proficiency with Power BI for analytics.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5 years of supply planning, production planning, scheduling, inventory planning, or related supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience utilizing ERP systems for planning activities and MRP processes.
  • Strong analytical skills with large datasets and planning models; Power BI experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain supply plans to support demand forecasts, inventory targets, and customer service objectives across multiple manufacturing facilities.
  • Lead supply planning activities for assigned product lines and locations, aligning demand, capacity, inventory, and material availability.
  • Facilitate supply review meetings within SIOP and communicate risks, constraints, and mitigation plans to stakeholders.
  • Translate demand forecasts into executable supply plans and coordinate production requirements with manufacturing, materials, procurement, and sales teams.
  • Manage planning parameters and planning data within SAP to ensure accurate MRP execution.
  • Analyze inventory levels, production schedules, capacity utilization, and supply chain performance to identify improvements.
  • Coordinate planning across multiple facilities including Berlin, Beaver Dam, Allmand, and Enercon.
  • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and analytics to support planning decisions and visibility.
  • Monitor planning KPIs and identify root causes of performance gaps while implementing corrective actions.
  • Partner with Sales, Manufacturing, Procurement, Materials Management, and Operations to align supply plans with business objectives.
  • Support new product introductions, growth initiatives, and continuous improvement projects across the supply chain.
  • Document planning assumptions, risks, mitigation plans, and key decisions for stakeholders.

Minimum Job Requirements

Major Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain supply plans to support demand forecasts, inventory targets, and customer service objectives across multiple manufacturing facilities.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
  • Working knowledge of supply planning, production planning, inventory management, and forecasting principles
  • Experience utilizing ERP systems for planning activities
  • Experience executing and managing Material Requirements Planning (MRP) processes
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with large datasets and planning models
  • Experience utilizing business intelligence and reporting tools such as Power BI
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing operations and multi‑site supply chain environments
  • Ability to develop, communicate, and execute supply plans in support of customer demand and operational objectives
  • Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to identify risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work cross‑functionally with Sales, Manufacturing, Procurement, Materials Management, and Operations teams

Preferred Job Requirements
Education
  • Master's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field
Certification / License
  • APICS CPIM, CSCP, or equivalent supply chain certification
Work Experience
  • 7 years of supply planning, master planning, production planning, scheduling, or SIOP experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience supporting multi‑site manufacturing operations
  • Experience leading supply review meetings and participating in SIOP processes
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
  • Advanced SAP planning experience
  • Advanced Power BI and supply chain analytics capabilities
  • Experience supporting complex manufacturing networks with multiple production facilities
