Job summary

SA-TECH is hiring a Master Mechanical Technician at Dugway Proving Ground, UT to lead environmental qualification testing per MIL-STD-810. You will manage test plans, install instrumentation, and ensure safety and accuracy across climate and vibration tests.

The role requires DoD DoD clearance eligibility, multiple certifications, and extensive HVAC/refrigeration expertise to support DoD ranges and test activities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years in calibration, operation, maintenance, fabrication and repair of mechanical test equipment.
• EPA 608 certification within 1 year.
• AMMO Handler Certification within 1 year.
• WDTC Chamber Operator Level III and Vibration Operator Level III certifications.
• 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification or within 1 year.
• Experience with HVAC systems and refrigeration units.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and document MIL-STD-810 environmental tests.
• Operate environmental chambers and test systems.
• Ensure safety and compliance with requirements.
• Install and validate instrumentation (thermocouples, accelerometers).
• Troubleshoot equipment; analyze data for compliance.
• Prepare formal qualification test reports.
