Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Technician to perform major repairs on diesel-powered highway equipment, repair air brake systems, and maintain trailer and van bodies on our fleet.

You will also repair truck cooling units (Thermo King/Carrier), use gas and arc welding, and handle other duties as required. This on-site role offers steady weekly pay, opportunities for advancement, and comprehensive training.

Qualifications

• High School diploma.
• 2 years fleet maintenance experience with major repairs.
• 4 years fleet maintenance experience on air brakes.
• 1 year gasoline-powered highway fleet experience.
• 1 year trailer/van body and mechanical repairs experience.
• 6 months cooling unit repair experience (Thermo King and/or Carrier).
• Gas and arc welding training completed.
• Formal schooling may count toward up to 2 years of the fleet maintenance experience requirement, and up to 50% of the other category requirements.
