Qualifications

Three years of experience or training in the building construction trades, building maintenance, or related fields.
Or completion of a two-year vocational technical program in general building construction plus one year of related experience.
Or twelve semester hours in construction management/engineering plus one year of related experience.

Responsibilities

Lead and assist maintenance repairmen in carpentry tasks including shelves, cabinets, doors, trim, and wall coverings.
Perform electrical work up to 220 volts, install and repair fixtures, switches, and receptacles; troubleshoot with meters.
Paint buildings and related furnishings with brush or spray; prepare surfaces and apply finishes.
Repair sheet metal, roofing, HVAC ductwork, and related components; support preventive maintenance.
Perform plumbing repairs, fixtures, drains; address leaks and minor problems.
Conduct surveys to determine maintenance needs; report findings and assist with repairs across trades.
Assist with HVAC troubleshooting, coil cleaning, filter changes, and other duties as needed.
