Job summary

Poway Honda, part of Sonic Automotive, Inc., seeks a Line Technician in Poway, CA. The role offers a generous flat-rate wage between $35 and $55 per hour based on experience and certifications, with a sign-on bonus depending on credentials.

Qualified technicians, including Honda Certified, Master, and Master Diagnostic Technicians, are encouraged to apply. The position requires an associate-level experience and a valid driver's license, with emphasis on safety and quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• ASE or manufacturing training is requested.
• High school diploma or the equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Authorized to work in the USA and pass pre-employment checks.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, inspect, and repair vehicles to dealer and manufacturer standards.
• Perform work on repair orders, including diagnostics and repairs.
• Identify additional needs and communicate findings to the Service Advisor.
• Road-test vehicles to verify repairs and operation.
• Document diagnostic findings, repairs, and parts used accurately.
• Collaborate with advisors, parts, and other technicians to complete repairs.
• Support and mentor junior technicians and apprentices as needed.
• Stay updated on manufacturer training, bulletins, and safety regs.
• Serve as a technical resource for complex diagnostics and troubleshooting.
