About Us:

The Training Center of Central Texas is a career and technical trade school providing top-quality training for careers in construction trades and healthcare. Voted BEST in Central Texas for 5 consecutive years across all higher education categories, we are seeking a full-time construction electrician instructor to support our growing enrollment, partnerships with military and industry, and expanded energy sector offerings.

Program Details:

Our Construction Electrician Program is a 6-month comprehensive course covering safety, theory, fundamentals, residential and commercial construction practices, conduit bending, job site conditions, grounding, bonding, complex switching and controls, motors, transformers, and construction management.

Candidate Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will be a Journeyman or Master Electrician with extensive experience in various settings.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Hold a current Journeyman or Master Electrician License issued by a recognized state or national agency. Must maintain valid license.
• At least 4 years of full-time electrician work experience.

Additional Qualifications:

Experience in management/leadership roles or instructional positions.

Required Skills:

• Proficiency with computers and software such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Google Suite, and ability to learn proprietary and cloud-based school software.
• Proficiency with electrician tools and technology.
• Strong organization, documentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to engage and inspire students through lectures and hands-on labs, and evaluate their performance.
• Professional communication with students, peers, administrators, and industry partners.

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule:

• 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday, no weekends

Experience:

• Teaching: 1 year
• Journeyman electrician: 4 years (Required)
• Commercial electrician: 4 years

License/Certification:

• Journeyman or Master Electrician License (Required)

Work Location: In person
